Introduction
This versatile walk takes you through Highgate. The total length of the walk is 11km but there are various options to shorten the route. You can easily make it a day out by visiting Highgate Cemetery or extend your walk in Hampstead Heath. The walk starts at Lauderdale House/Waterlow Park and ends at Finsbury Park.

Interesting Places
Highgate Cemetery is a must see in Highgate. The cemetery opened in 1839 and is divided into an East and West part. The east cemetery, where you can find famous Londoners such as Karl Marx, can be entered any time (entrance fee of £3-£4). If you have more time, I would really recommend to visit the West Cemetery. It is only accessible via a guide (a tour costs around £7) but it is really worth it and the guides are great storytellers. You don't need to make a reservation. Just gather at the west gate at the hour and a guide will be waiting for you.

Getting There
Start: Finsbury Park Station (Wells Terrace): bus 210 to Lauderdale House/Waterlow Park.
Transport Options along the way:
Buses to Finsbury Park: Pond Square and Hampstead Lane (near Kenwood House and Spaniards Inn)
Highgate Underground Station: Archway Road
Finish: Finsbury Park Station
Faltering Fullback
Spaniards Inn and the tollgate
